pdf generator fails to use MSWord

Hello,

I want to assemble some native documents to PDF.  Landscape is Windows 7 pro, JBoss turnkey, MS Office 2010 and OpenOffice 3.4. 

 

The server logs shows that PDF generator fails when trying to use MSWord...and then switches to fallback OpenOffice.  I did verify that could use Acrobat menu in Word to create PDF. The error from server log seems to be centered around:  calling funciton to  clean registry resiliency entry - ALC-PDG-001-000 Access is denied.  Thank you for any insight.  See server log snippet, below, for detail info.  (thank you for any insight):

Convert Microsoft InfoPath (.XSN) to .XML or .pdf

Hello Everyone,

 

Currently i am working in ALC ES2.5 , I need to create a new process which contains Input file as Microsoft Infopath[.xsn] file and output should be pdf.

 

please let me know this is possible or not, if possible what is the best way to succeed it. We have any specific component to convert .xsn to pdf directly or any Java script to convert as pdf.

 

Option A:

 

Convert  Microsoft Infopath[.xsn] file -----> pdf   ?

 

Option B:

 

Convert Microsoft Infopath[.xsn] file -----> .xml -------> pdf   ?

MS Word DOC -> PDF (CreatePDF2)

So ... trying to convert a Word 2003 doc to a PDF. The funny thing is, it actually worked once, but now it does not, and I don't think I changed anything.

Here is a snippet from my log. It appears to be telling it can't find the file. When I look in the L:\Temp\pdfg-Administrator\7b\0d4b-221b88-f15dbd-f3b83b-8f790b-832199 folder for the doc, it isn't there. Is it some kind of permissions issue?

Hi ,

 

I am invoking the process via email and its working fine for all the users but its not wrking for few users who are all in the partculer domain.

 

for example, We have two domains domain1 and domain2... this is wrking for domain1 users and not for domain2 users.. this is also wrking for outside users when i add the name in defautdom and all the domain users also can able to invoke the process via adobe workspace.

 

But when domain2 users are trying to invoke the process from their mail then i am getting the following error message.

      com.adobe.idp.dsc.DSCRuntimeException: None of the Auth Provider could authenticate the user. Authentication Failed

 

I used complete task to invoke the process via mail and the mail id which is created and added in the complete task also in domain2. Please let me know if you have any ideas for this issue.

 

Version - Adobe LC ES2 and Adobe Reader 10

JDBC query return XMLType for ORACLE

I use JDBC service 'Query for Multiple Rows as XML' to query an Oracle database. One of the return field is of XMLType. The service return result as 'oracle.sql.OPAQUE@785a785a'. How can I access the return result?

Adobe workbench errors on checkin: Asset already exists / file already exists

Adobe workbench for Myserver checkin gives errors:  "Could not create the asset because the asset already exists" and/or "File already exists in global store with that name".  How does one fix this? 

 

This seems to especially happen when I change login to workbench user/configuration/"mode" etc.

Workbench connection through VPN fails during Synchronize execution with "Error writing request body to server". Log shows the following error;

Not able to assemble two interactive PDF forms to form a single interactive PDF

Hi,

 

I am trying to assemble two interactive PDF forms to form a single PDF. I am using LiveCycle process with Assembler and Invoke ddx file for this. But the resultant PDF is a flattened non interactive file.

Please guide me in obtaining a interactive PDF from two interactive PDFs.

Out of memory error for large recordings:

Hi,

  My workflow process takes input as a list. It loops through the workflow for all the items in the list. If my list contain 4 items, there will be 3*7= 21 steps when I invoke the process. I can able to check my recordings for debugging.

 

If I give 5 inputs, It takes around 5*7 = 35 steps in the workflow. If I try to play the recording, i see the error: java heap space: Out of memory exception. I changed my space to Xmx1024m in workbench.ini. I also did: java -Xms<initial heap size> -Xmx<maximum heap size> (Q1: do we need to restart the JBoss after we do the second step? ).

 

Q2: My system is Windows7 with 4GB RAM. I have liveCycle 8.2 with SP2. JBoss & MySql. Do I need to set this java RAM size in any of our JBoss server files?

 

Q3: Is there any file to set the maximum permissible steps for a process recording? If so, please let me know. It would be a great help.

How to convert pdf file to xdp format in Live Cycle Designer

Hi Guys..

               I am looking to convert a pdf file into xdp for further processing.

I try to convert it in Adobe Live Cycle Designer.. but no success..

 

I changed the options under tools menu - Default file type for new forms into XDP.. still I cant save the file as XDP..

 

Anyone know how to do it..

workbench versionning [ LiveCycle ES 8.2]

Hello  everyone

 

I'm currently working on a big project with several  environmental (local - dev - Filing and approval) and my concern is the  following:

 

I have developed two workflow the first on my local  environment and the second in the server dev.or two months ago I added a  lot of changes to the first environment and now I wanted to do an  archive LCA and deploy it on my second environment.

 

So I would like to know if i do this manipulation I will not  overwrite my old process?

 


Livecycle  it is able to manage versioning alone??

 


I would  be very grateful if you can help me to solve this problem

Add text on every page

Dear,

 

I have PDF files and I need to add text on every page they have.

 

The text can be compared to an ID.

This is not a watermark(!) because a watermark spreads out over the center of the page.

On the right margin of any page, I would like to add text rotated 90 degrees clockwise.

 

What I mean is something a footer or header but on the side of a page instead of top/bottom.

 

How am I supposed to do this? I assume making use of a DDX file may help me?

I read something about PageOverlay but I cannot see how i can add content to the pageOverlay in such a way as plain text.

Installing Workbench ES2 into Eclipse

When trying to install Workbench ES2 (9.0.0) into Eclipse 3.6.1 the following error is encountered:

 

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software currently installed: Adobe Livecycle Workbench ES 9.0.0 (com.adobe.ide.feature.group 9.0.0)
Missing requirement: Adobe Livecycle Workbench ES 9.0.0 (com.adobe.ide.feature.group 9.0.0) requires 'com.adobe.ape.osnative.win [9.0.0]' but it could not be found.

 

The elusive com.adobe.ape.osnative.win is in fact in the eclipse/plugins folder?

 

I have ensured that the GEF, WST XML Core and the Mylyn Task List (for the plugin 'org.apache.commons.lang_2.3.0') are all installed.

I am using Windows 7 64-bit as my dev client.

I have Workbench installed onto my E: drive and it is working fine.

 

I simply point Eclipse via the standard archive install to the Workbench archive in the Program Files location and tell it to install. I get as far as Eclipse warning me about the unsigned component which I dutifully ignore as per instructions and then I get the above error.

 

Am I missing something?

Workbench ES2 over HTTPS

I can't connect to my LC server using workbench. I get an error saying "The public key  certificate retrieved from server 'servername' is not recognized as  originating from a trusted source.'

 

 

Certificate at url https://servername/adminui was exported to file (base 64 encoded) and then added to the keystore in workbench home using the keytool.

Environment variable for Java / JRE Home are set right.

Workbench has been restarted after the certificate was added to the keystore.

Catch all exception of service sendToPrinter

Dear all,

 

I have a process which use sendToPrinter service for some auto-print out, and this process will stall once and awhile.

 

Because the user will reprint while failed, so I would like to ignore the error by catch all the exception and prevent the process form stall.

 

There are 2 type of exception "com.adobe.livecycle.output.exception.OutputException" and "SYSTEM EXCEPTION" available for me to catch in the process and I catch both, but the process still continue stall.

 

Would like to know how can I catch all the available exception and prevent the process stall completed.

Convert PDF to XDP and again to PDF file bigger

I need to change a value in the XDP from a PDF template i had, i have no problem doing that, but when i'm save the PDF on a new file, this new file is bigger than the original. I only change one valeu from a node, nothing more. Why the second PDF is bigger than the first?

Hi,

 

I have configured email start point process. While deploying and invoking the process it is not showing any kind of error. But when i send mail to configured SMTP server i recieves a mail saying

 

LiveCycle ES has tried to process your request and encountered the following error:

 

com.adobe.idp.dsc.provider.service.email.impl.EmailProviderException: Error getting user context

Why i am getting error. I have tested the pop3 and smtp mail server using send and recieve activity. But when i send some mail to configured server to start a activity it replies with a mail that there is some error.

Our requirement below is getting the image filename(directory name).

 

REQUIREMENT STEPS:

 

1. User Click the IMAGE FIELD --> 2. Select Image from the local drive --> 3.? (requirement to be resolve: we need to get the image filename that was selected on step #2 and pass its value to a field) -THIS ONLY BE DONE IN JAVASCRIPTING.
